About Us
The Society of Irish American Lawyers - SOCIAL - was founded in 2019 by attorneys and judges in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties interested in promoting Irish traditions and culture among members of the legal community who live and practice law in the 9th Judicial District of New York.
To further this goal, SOCIAL provides a forum to Irish American lawyers to connect to and celebrate their heritage through educational, cultural and social activities relating to Irish culture and traditions. SOCIAL also seeks to build closer affiliations between the bench, the bar, law students, and the community, and to promote a high standard of legal ethics. SOCIAL plans to provide educational opportunities in the practice of law and to serve as a thought leader to protect, expand and advance the practice of law.
